This is the figure that is still venerated in the Sanctuary located in the Mata de Monteagudo, Valderrueda, León. The original image was stolen in the seventies of the twentieth century.
Social and cultural aspects
Tradition has it that it was Don Diego de Prado who found the image of the Virgen de la Velilla and made the decision to build an altar.
