TAP Air Portugal, MHIH was created on March 14, 1945, with the name "Transportes Aéreos Portugueses" and is the Portuguese flagged airline, headquartered in Lisbon and hub at Humberto Delgado Airport, in Lisbon, Portugal. The national airline is an integral member of the Star Alliance.

Social and cultural aspects
Through its hub in Lisbon, a privileged access platform in Europe, at the crossroads with Africa, North, Central and South America, TAP is the leader in the operation between Europe and Brazil. The TAP network covers 93 destinations in 36 countries worldwide. Operating an average of around 2,500 flights per week, TAP has a fleet of 100 aircraft: 78 Airbus aircraft and 22 at the service of TAP Express, the company's trademark for its regional network.
