Choir stalls in the cathedral of León

Education
The choir stalls of the cathedral of Leon is one of the oldest in Spain. It is an example of this type of craftsmanship with Flemish and German influence.
Social and cultural aspects
The choir stalls were made between 1461 and 1481 in Gothic style in walnut wood. It is one of the oldest ashlars in Spain. A very rich cast of motifs congregates the usual characters of the Old Testament and the saints in the most visible places, contrasting them with several profane figures of burlesque and costumbrista tone, in the Nordic fashion.
