Vincas Ruzgas was the founder of the Lithuanian Education Museum. V. Ruzgas was not only a famous museum worker, librarian, and textbooks author, educational worker, but also a talented pedagogue. He dedicated all his life to the education of children and adults, took care of educational problems, urged the youth and adults to educate themselves and gain knowledge from various sources of information, self-study. He persistently sought to strengthen traditions of folk culture, aimed for the school to educate active, independent and a hard-working personality of a student.
