Presentosa

Education
The presentosa is a traditional jewel from Abruzzo, generally in gold or gold-plated metal worn by women on festive occasions. The origins of the presentosa are not known, however the first attested information on the production of this artifact dates back to a period between 1804 and 1816, when it appears for the first time as a dowry for brides. The symbolic motif par excellence is the heart reproduced in the center of the medallion in different variants, united hearts, a single heart, hearts accompanied by tears or blood, by burning flames or united by a key.
