Owl Hill Sculpture

Education
The owls landed on the fence of the hill in 1924. The author of the sculptures is one of the students of Kaunas School of Art - Vincas Grybas. The owls on the hill were cast from sand and gravel dug in Kaunas. The owls replaced the name of the Oak Hill, giving it the name of Owl Hill, which has been used ever since. The owl fence is now recognised as a cultural object protected by the State.
