Carnaval D'Albi

Education
The Carnival of Albi, the 3rd carnival in France after Nice and Nantes, attracts more than 150,000 people every year. The Trás-os-Montes masks symbolize life renewed in spring, the entry into a fruitful and prosperous time, the transition from puberty to adulthood. The community is revitalized and bonds are strengthened at these parties organized by boys, where even excesses serve to purge evils. The people still see them as if they were the devil himself.
