The Song Festival is a traditional folk art (mainly songs and dances) festival. The national tradition of the song and dance festival is a hundred-year-long process that has grown into the most significant and largest cultural phenomenon of Lithuania, which develops the creative powers of the society, mobilizes it for artistic activities and periodically gathers amateur art groups from various fields, representatives of professional culture and raises huge public resonance.
